Some stories are more personal than others.
And while Monica has developed media with Iris Baca, owner of Integrative Massage & BodyWork, for four years – this writer has only known her for about ten minutes. That’s how long our interview lasted. The way she comes across as both healing and strong – kind and yet astute – ten minutes is enough to know she is one of a kind.
Iris Baca was born in Las Cruces, but her family hails from Mexico. They came here as dairy farmers, and it comes across that she knows the meaning of hard work. She practiced as a nurse for 27 years before the
stress demanded a change in career. “I wanted to stay in the health profession,” Iris says, “so I chose massage and have been doing it since 2007.”
Iris earned her massage therapy license from the Massage Therapy Training Institute (MTTI). In the short time since then, her healing touch has made a great impact in the community. MK Design House developed her brochure, and also her logo, business card, gift certificates, and website. “Monica chose the colors. They are on everything.”
It helps to be recognized. In 2013, Iris Baca’s business was awarded the title “Best of Las Cruces – Massage Therapy” by the Las Cruces Award Program.
Iris believes in a holistic approach to health. Her Integrative Massage & Body Work office suite is situated in a plaza at 1625 South Main Street in Las Cruces, just across from the Tesoro Health Center where she practices yoga. Tesoro and Integrative Massage share many clients seeking health and wellness in Las Cruces.
I began by saying that some stories are more personal than others. This one is personal because, like me, Iris grew up in a rustic, working environment and found her passion. She helps others, and she trusts her experts. We are indebted to Iris Baca for trusting us with her brand and her message and hope to continue to find clients equally trusting and engaged.
